Christian Centers International was founded in 1968 by Dr. B. Owen Oslin, Pastor of Evangel Temple in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Joining him as an incorporator was Lester J. Bull, deacon, businessman and lay minister in Evangel Temple. During the great Charismatic Renewal in the 1960’s, there were many people and ministers who had been in varied denominational settings who were looking for a covering and direction. Dr. Oslin felt the need to provide a Fellowship that would receive persons from all levels of the Christian faith who were experiencing the Renewal. The fellowship was first called “Christian Centers of America.” Since the early 1980’s, Dr. Oslin and his wife, Barbara traveled extensively throughout the United States and foreign countries preaching and teaching the message of the Kingdom of God, establishing churches and encouraging thousands of ministers to be faithful to the calling of God on their lives. Many of these looked to Dr. Oslin as their spiritual father and mentor.

Due to Dr. Oslin’s health condition, he, along with his wife, Barbara, worked vigorously to reorganize the Fellowship and update it’s Articles of Incorporation, Constitution and By-Laws. With the help of several ministerial friends, they formed a new Board of Directors, appointed Officers and changed the name to “Christian Centers International.” This was completed on March 22, 1999. Dr. Oslin lived until November 14th, 2001.

In November of 2004, Dr. Billy R. Coffman became President of Christian Centers International. Dr. Coffman and his wife Jeanne have been the Pastors of Victory Church NWA in Springdale, AR. for the past 28 years.
